VegFast – Privacy Policy Last updated: March 14, 2026
Overview
VegFast is a fast food vegetarian and vegan guide for iOS, developed by D-Cade LLC. This policy explains what information the app collects, how it is used, and your choices.
VegFast does not require an account, does not collect your name or email address, and does not sell your personal data to third parties.
Information Stored on Your Device
VegFast stores the following information locally on your device using Apple’s standard storage. This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to any server.
- Your star ratings for menu items
- Your saved favorite restaurants
- Your filter and sort preferences
- Whether you have purchased ad removal
In-App Purchases
VegFast offers optional paid features to remove advertisements: a yearly subscription and a one-time lifetime purchase. All purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not collect, store, or have access to your payment information, Apple ID, or billing details. Apple’s privacy policy governs the purchase transaction: apple.com/legal/privacy.
Advertising (Google AdMob)
VegFast displays advertisements to users who have not purchased ad removal. Ads are served by Google AdMob, a third-party advertising platform operated by Google LLC.
To serve relevant ads, Google AdMob may collect and use:
- Device identifiers, including the Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA), if you grant permission
- Information about how you interact with ads shown in the app
- Advertising data such as ad clicks and impressions
- Approximate location derived from your IP address (not precise GPS)
This data is used for ad targeting, frequency capping, fraud prevention, and measuring ad performance. You can learn more at policies.google.com/privacy and manage your ad settings at adssettings.google.com.
If you purchase ad removal, Google AdMob is disabled entirely and no advertising data is collected.
App Tracking Transparency
On iOS 14.5 and later, VegFast will ask for your permission before allowing Google AdMob to access your device’s Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA). This prompt appears once at app launch.
If you allow tracking, AdMob may show you personalized ads based on your activity across other apps and websites. If you deny tracking, AdMob will still show ads, but they will be non-personalized. The app works identically either way.
You can change this permission at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking → VegFast.
Network Requests
VegFast makes the following network requests:
- App update check — the app periodically contacts Apple’s iTunes Lookup API to check whether a newer version is available. No personal data is sent.
- Ad requests — if ads are enabled, requests are sent to Google AdMob servers as described above.
- In-app purchases — purchase status is verified directly with Apple. No personal data is handled by VegFast in this process.
Children’s Privacy
VegFast is rated 4+ on the App Store and is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
